| Welcome to the second installment of a new feature that we hope to periodically update on twinstuff.com - a page devoted to people who aren't twins but could definitely be mistaken as one.
This second set of seven photos were found on various news stories or other web sites which are devoted to 'Mistaken at Birth' celebrity look-alikes. The text below the photos give credit to the page we found the original comparison (although many different sites may have the same comparison). If you think you look like a celebrity, or have run across someone else's photo who could be your twin, but isn't, please send them here.
Here's a new one we just added (9/2002) that is our original comparison. On the left is Dr. Phil, a new talk show host series hosted by Dr. Phillip McGraw, a psychologist whose regular appearances on the Oprah Winfrey show led to a string of highly popular self-help books. On the right is character actor Jeffrey Tambor (Hank on The Larry Sanders Show and the mayor of Whoville in The Grinch among his many, many roles). |
This one came from New Republic, a liberal news magazine. Not surprisingly it's an unflattering comparison between ageless rocker Ozzy Osborne and Florida Secretary of State Katherine Harris, who was in the news during the drawn-out Florida Bush-Gore voting controversy. |
We've seen this comparison on quite a few sites, most recently on Hockey Twins. On the left is actor Matthew Broderick - on the right, look-alike Greg Maddux, star pitcher for the Atlanta Braves. |
Another submission from Hockey Twins, on the left is James Leavelle, the Dallas detective who was escorting Lee Harvey Oswald when he was shot and killed by Jack Ruby (shortly after JFK's assassination). On the right is Hockey Night in Canada announcer Don Cherry. This one probably appeals to historians and hockey fans only. |
A new submission we found recently in the English newspaper, the Sun. On the left is 24-year-old British factory worker Gary Vokes. On the right is rapper Eminem. Vokes likes the attention he receives for looking like the rock star, but admits he's not a fan of his music and only dyed his hair to win a bet. |
Both gentlemen are from Texas and both are athletes and both are bald, so it's easy to see why some people might confuse them. On the left is Seattle Mariner baseball player Jay Buhner - on the right wrestler Stone Cold Steve Austin. (Thanks to wrestlescoop.com for pointing out the similarities). |
This last one is our own call. On the left is 2000 Academy Award nominee Kate Hudson (from the movie 'Almost Famous'). Hudson may be the daughter of actress Goldie Hawn, but we think she's a splitting image of a younger, blonder Drew Barrymore (at right). |
